Awards

The Guild bestows a number of awards upon lawyers who stand out in practice, serving as models to fellow attorneys.

Catholic Lawyer of the Year
The Catholic Lawyer of the Year award is presented annually to a lawyer who has brought Christ to the world through the practice of law. Award recipients are exemplary Catholic lawyers who have put the gospel into practice by their service to the bar, bench and the public, especially service to the poor. Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is bestowed upon an individual who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to the Church and bar. While this award has also historically been awarded to a lawyer, the Guild diverged from this precedent in 2015. Click here to see previous recipients.

Special Service Award
This award is not given regularly, but granted to attorneys who engage in exceptional service to the community and Church at times of special need. Click here to see previous recipients.

Do you know a lawyer who should be considered for any of these honors? If so, please consider nominating them. The deadline to nominate is April 30th of each year, and recipients are bestowed such honors at the annual Red Mass held in October. Nominations can be sent to Jim Convery.
